I’m a little annoyed here. In addition to waiting a week until I can have the Christmas video review the Captain Yuletide #3 is going to be a day late since I don’t want to rush things. (I can do two pages a day even with my minimal style.)  And don’t tell me it’s okay, because I’m going to be disappointed either way. I set deadlines for a reason. I also won’t be able to have daily comic reviews (although that one Christmas comic will be done, to the regret of the Comic Strip Critic) in order to get the video done. This year is frustrating me to the last second!

However, since there are new followers to the site and various social media (and it seems like it takes me two years to get an issue out) I do have a Christmas post, with the first two issues of my Christmas superhero comic, Captain Yuletide, for you to download and enjoy. And they’re PDF files so almost anybody can open and read them. For those same new people: every Christmas some villain tries to ruin or destroy the holiday. It’s half the subject of every Christmas special ever. But now when evil strikes one of a special team of elves is chosen to be granted amazing powers to protect Christmas. He or she becomes Captain Yuletide, using his or her own unique talents to save Christmas, aided by Bryce The Green-Nosed Reindeer and his magic nose.

Captain Yuletide #1

Captain Yuletide #1

In this first issue, our chosen elf  and Bryce must stop a mad scientist and his army of robot snowmen from ruining a town’s Christmas display.

Captain Yuletide #2 cover

Captain Yuletide #2

When Santa is kidnapped an elf is chosen to become Captain Yuletide! But when their magic Christmas powers are zapped, can our unpowered hero and reindeer save Santa by Christmas?

#3 is a flashback to the origin of the Captain Yuletide powers and Bryce’s magic nose. Hopefully you can read it tomorrow.

I hope you had a nice Christmas, Shadowwing. These were some cool comics to read. Imagine if you were able to get these published through a major comic book company every Christmas season! Hopefully, Marvel, DC, or another company will notice your creation. It’s a neat concept. Looking forward to seeing your issue for this year.
