With the base crumbling under the assault of Skywarp and Blitzwing, Ratchet and Bumblebee try to hurry the humans out of there. Verity almost gets left behind, transfixed at the sight of Megatron, who pays the fleshling little attention. The humans manage to get out, but so does Megatron, who proceeds to wipe out the Decepticons, and prepares to go after Starscream, preparing to power up with Ore-13. The Autobots get word to Prowl, and even he knows when the fan needs a good scrubbing.
What they got right: Megatron gets a good (re)introduction to this continuity. He comes off as menacing and dangerous. If you didn’t know who he was, you would still know things just got really serious for the Autobots and Earth.
What they got wrong: I want to write something here. It’s a Simon Furman Transformers story. But…I actually don’t have any complaints worth bringing up. It was actually a well-written story. So what the hell happened during stories like Spotlight: Arcee and the entire ReGeneration One series?
Recommendation: Just a good chapter overall. It’s worth picking up although to know what’s really going on you should get the earlier issues as well.
