ICv2 is reporting that Mark Millar has sold the rights for his Millarworld portfolio to Netflix (not including Kick Ass and Kingsman, who are still licensed to other studios). I haven’t seen this since Eastman and Laird sold the Ninja Turtles to Nickelodeon and I’m just as confused. Between these three and George Lucas selling Lucasfilm to Disney there’s a lot of creators selling their creations to others, which makes the various Siegel & Shuster and Jack Kirby lawsuits surprisingly odd ducks. I’m not sure how to think about it.
