There are certain clichés that come up when it comes to Spider-Man. “With great power comes great responsibility”, Aunt May in the hospital, and Peter Parker quitting Spider-Man for one reason or another. These all showed up quite a bit in the comics, but Scott Niswander of NerdSync thinks the most famous example, Amazing Spider-Man #50 (the story “Spider-Man No More”), may actually be an allegory when it was almost Stan Lee No More.
