Hey 80s kids, remember the Mattel Intellivision? Well I don’t know if Mattel is involved but the old video game company is coming back with a new console that plans to target families, “softcore” gamers (as in not the usual hardcore crowd), and usually non-gamers. Can that market work? Time will tell.

Intellivision did have better graphics than Atari, but Atari was more popular. I like the sound of this 2020 version of Intellivision because it will have the feel of a 1980s video game system. They’re even bringing back some classic games. The updated Intellivision will be good family style entertainment.
