The CW’s “Arrowverse” started with Arrow, a take on DC’s Green Arrow. It spun-off shows with The Flash, Vixen (an animated show on the ad-sponsored streaming site CW Seed), the group show Legends Of Tomorrow, and later absorbed Supergirl when it moved from CBS to the CW, putting it in an alternate universe thanks to an episode from the CBS season meant to keep them apart because nobody knew they would end up on the same network. Then there’s Black Lightning, which they decided to segregate from the Arroverse altogether. They’re going to have to come up with a new name, as Arrow will soon be ending its run with a shortened season.
