Wolfman’s Got Nards is a documentary about the creation and cult following of the 1987 film The Monster Squad, about a group of potty-mouthed kids that end up having to fight the Universal Monster analogs attacking their hometown. I never really got into it myself because the monsters that interest me either smash buildings, fight teens in not-spandex, or teach spelling while doing preschool-friendly parodies. However, my friend Shawn Robare of Branded In The 80s calls it his favorite movie and got to be part of the documentary. I wonder if lack of merchandise would keep me out of a documentary about my favorite movie, The NeverEnding Story?

The only thing I remember about this Monster Squad movie is seeing the advertisement for it on television when I was a kid. The advertisement did show the scene of “Wolfman’s got nards”. After a bit, the “nards” word was edited out of the advertisement, and so one would only hear “Wolfman’s got _____” when it played on television.
