It’s the only Garfield image that came up in my image library.

Welcome to a special Thanksgiving Thursday edition of Saturday Night Showcase…because I figure nobody’s coming tonight unless there’s nothing else to do. That’s also why I didn’t have Art Soundoff today. Thanksgiving is a time when family gathers together and gives thanks…or rather pigs out. I wasn’t much of a foodie before the Crohn’s started so I’m not really a huge Thanksgiving person. However, if you are here then here’s a little bonus for you. Because nobody eats food like Garfield. In tonight’s video Jon somehow convinces Liz to come over for Thanksgiving dinner. (This is before they somehow started dating in the comics.) When the cooking doesn’t go well, Jon calls out for help, while Garfield tries to convince Liz to take him off his diet. Will this be a happy Thanksgiving?

This comes from an allegedly official Garfield YouTube channel, with other classic episodes and specials. Except it seems to currently just be the shorts as well as the Halloween and Thanksgiving specials. They don’t even have the Christmas special. If you really are the official channel, work on that!

Oh, and don’t worry. I still have Saturday Night Showcase this week. Thanksgiving is over so it’s time for the Christmas specials!

I watched both the Garfield Christmas special and the Garfield Thanksgiving special today. I had seen the Garfield Christmas special years ago, but this is the first time I’ve viewed the Thanksgiving special. They both sure were enjoyable to watch. In fact, I plan to also watch the Garfield On The Town special. It was the first Garfield special, and it features Garfield reconnecting with his mother and other feline family. It should be interesting to see!
