Michael rages through Cleveland, separating Tony from his armor and causing a lot of damage. Carol rescues Tony and goes in again on Michael, only to be hit with numerous different powers. The Sentry arrives and forces Michael back into space. Spider-Man and the Vision join up with SHIELD to try to piece together what’s going on. They not only learn Michael is a postal worker where the original energy ball landed but that he now has the powers of fifty known superhumans. Spidey doesn’t get to say what their connection is but the only names I recognize are mutants and former mutants. Also he got past the Sentry and he’s on his way back to Earth.

What they got right: The mystery’s getting interesting though Bendis basically pointed at “House Of M” with how this arc started with it being mentioned out of nowhere. It makes sense that Captain America has security access to the Iron Man armor to send it after Tony (though I bet that didn’t last once Civil War started) given that they were still friends at the time.

What they got wrong: Bendis’s attempts at humor are back, as are Spidey’s dumb dialog. A former SHIELD agent is requested to help (and only agrees to un-retire when Cap is mentioned) but before that we see her use her vibration or earthquake powers to chase a dude off and all he asked was what she was reading. For that she started an earthquake and scared everyone off?

Recommendation: The Bendisisms are making their way back but the story seems to still be hanging on. I’ll be able to give a final recommendation when the storyline’s over but this issue might be a decent read.
