The gang haven’t quite returned to normal size since it’s Atom Ant looking down on them. Once they solve that problem there are real giant monsters to deal with. The gang tracks them back to Atom Ant’s old foe Dr. Crankshaft, who tries to distract the ant hero with a picnic. Shaggy and Scooby are there so guess how that plan is defeated.
What they got right: As an Atom Ant story it’s okay. I haven’t seen many of his shorts but it seems to match. I don’t know if Crankshaft really is a villain from the show but as a mad scientist out to conquer the world with giant monster (not quite kaiju sized) he’s pretty chill.
What they got wrong: Outside of foiling the picnic trap the gang doesn’t get to do much. I’m sure Atom Ant could have followed tracks that big. Are they still at Ivy University? I didn’t see any buildings outside of Crankshaft’s house and once they’re finally back to full size they seem to forget they haven’t had a chance to send the belts back to the other Atom yet.
What did I think overall: Not much of a Scooby-Doo story but a fun Atom Ant story.
