The gang take a vacation in Jellystone Park, which given the location means a visit from Yogi and Boo Boo, and this being Mystery Inc. on vacation meaning there’s going to be a fake ghost involved somewhere. Yogi is framed for a rash of picnic basket thefts while his and Boo Boo’s cave is haunted. It doesn’t take long to uncover that these are bank robbers hiding out, and Shaggy and Scooby of all people trick the robbers into capturing themselves with help from Yogi and Ranger Smith. Yogi is cleared…of the picnic basket thefts he ISN’T guilty of that is.
What they got right: What it lacks in mystery solving it makes up for in a fun little crossover adventure. The art meshes the two styles as best they can, so while not perfect it fits how this comic works. Shaggy and Scooby get to save the day, although considering there’s food involved it kind of makes sense.
What they got wrong: If Ranger Smith wants to believe Yogi’s innocent and the ghost is scarring Yogi and Boo Boo out of their cave as well, why is he so quick to accuse him and send him to the zoo? The evidence is circumstantial at best, even given Yogi’s history.
What did I think overall: Like I said, what it lacks in mystery solving for the reader it makes up for as a fun crossover.
