It’s a crazy fest. The cops are after the crew, the pirates are after the crew, the cops are after the pirates, and there’s a lot of shooting going on. Rocca and Sky are separated from the others when they fall off of the ship during Ril’s rescue attempt, but Sky transforms, gaining superstrength and saving Bocce. They go to swipe a police officer’s airbike when she’s shot point blank in the chest. That’s where we end so we don’t know what happens next.
What they got right: More mystery surrounding Sky. This is an action-heavy piece and it works well. Roka shows how clever he is.
What they got wrong: The color version does a much better job showing her transformation than the black-and white does. While Wang does alter her look to show her new powerful form the color shows that she’s also a lighter shade of blue despite being heavier and stronger now.
What I think overall: This is still my favorite web comic series.
