With Iron Man’s help Captain America and Falcon attack the AIM offshoot AID to learn how to track their homemade Cosmic Cube. However, due to various business stuff Tony can’t help attack Kronos or it will look bad enough that he might lose yet another company, so Steve and Sam head to a Kronos location they tracked the Cube to, telling Sharon on the way when she calls. What they don’t know is Lukin is having second thoughts after what happened to his aide and wants to bury the cube in a bunker. And when our heroes arrive, the Winter Soldier is waiting for them. After remembering not to question his orders again, the former Bucky fires, but at Captain America or Falcon?
What they got right: Having Iron Man along might have been easier but probably too easy so at least they found a logical reason for him to be left behind after bringing him in. After all, Tony does have the resources to help track the Cube and is one of Steve’s friends (at this point). The action is really good in this issue.
What they got wrong: Too many reuses of the same screams of “hey” and “aaaaaaaah”. If you can’t come up with a variety of exclamations then at least use them sparingly.
What I think overall: One of the better chapters of this story, though my bias towards Iron Man may have something to do with that.
