I saw a time when my own project struggled with similar audience skepticism. Sometimes the initial reaction to a new idea is surprisingly quiet.

I’m all for new ideas. They don’t have to replace or alter the old ideas to do it. The problem here is that they look at the past as silly and need to make fun of it…and yet, it’s the success of those old properties for the reasons they’re ragging on it that means they have something to adapt. Hollywood need to allow for new ideas and put the old ideas in the hands of creators who at least respect it and the audience that comes with it. We can like old AND new things.
