Let’s see. Where were we after last week?
Oh, right. Hero falling to his doom. And now, the Spacebooger-tingling conclusion.
Track 11 of 12
The Dance Floor: Robotech: The Movie #2
The Promoters: Benny R. Powell (adapter), Chi, Naser Subashi, and Carlos Montanez with Winston Blakely & Joe Pantone (art team), based on a story by Carl Macek
With their friends now missing or dead (Mark up there and one of their friends who filmed the fight was murdered), Mark’s girlfriend and her friend decide they’re going to give the Andrews and his pals what for. Stacey’s dad quickly agrees to let his little girl and Becky go fight the military because the movie’s almost over.
And after a “getting dressed” scene you won’t see here (deal with it!), our heroines are ready to go.
Just as soon as we get the gun away from Stacy, that is.
Almost immediately, the girls meet the not so good Colonel.
So it looks like the bad guy’s going to win again, eh?
Nope, instead it’s Andrews who lies flat on his mecha’s butt. Cue the fight song!
I just prefer Lancer’s to Minmei’s. So who’s piloting this new Battloid?
Yes, off screen Mark barely survived, recovered, went to flight school, learned to pilot a prototype Robotech fighter, and came to save the day. So what did YOU do this week?
And now it’s time for Mark to deliver a little payback!
Then Mark breaks out the big guns. You know, the ones on his robot’s shoulders.
Of course, there’s still the matter of the invading Robotech Masters to deal with.
Thus Mark saves the day and as I mentioned last week, Orion screws up the movie. You can probably still find it online, but only after you vote for this week’s fight. Otherwise, the file locks up until you vote. And the song got one thing wrong. This isn’t our last battle. Next week, I may not win any votes, but I’ll certainly get points for originality. Tune in next week for the last dance.
