Battle of the Planets: Manga #3
FINAL ISSUE
Image Comics/Top Cow (January, 2004)
I’m posting this extra review today is because the final mini in Top Cow’s run is six issues long, so I figure finish this off and get it over with.
WRITER: David Wohl ASSISTANT: Brian Buccellato ARTIST: Edwin David ART DIRECTOR: Alex Ross LETTERERS: Robin Spehar, Dennis Heilser, & Mark Roslan ASSOCIATE EDITOR: Scott Tucker MANAGING EDITOR: Renae Geerlings EDITOR IN CHIEF: Jim McLauchlin
Keyop reunites with G-Force (after the other four have already taken down Spectra’s amusement park attractions of death) just as the enemy launches another giant robot. Using a trick I don’t remember, where the other four vehicles are launched as fireballs during the “fiery” mode of the Phoenix, our heroes save the day and put on a good show for the park goers.
Again, I can’t point to anything wrong about this story. While I’m still disappointed that the main series ended the way that it did and neither this nor the Princess miniseries that will dominate next week’s reviews ever completed the story this was a good stand-alone adventure for G-Force and one I easily recommend.
