Young Justice #17

DC Comics (August, 2012)

WRITER: Kevin Hopps & Greg Weisman
ARTIST: Christopher Jones
COLORIST: Zac Atkinson
LETTERER: Dezi Sienty
EDITOR: Jim Chadwick

As the Justice League takes on a giant snake monster the team takes on its master, Naga-Naga, head of Kobra, who wants to sacrifice his twin brother to become a god. Luckily, Kid Flash has learned to accept magic and comes up with the solution to save the day.

What they got right: Action, fun, getting to see the Justice League (in this case Batman, Green Arrow, and the Flash) in action…I want a new DC universe spinning out of this title.

What they got wrong: If “snake plus fireworks totally screams StreetcarNamed Desire, maybe I should see this movie? Although I’m pretty sure it doesn’t.

Recommendation: Currently the best superhero comic coming out of DC Comics. Support this series.

So Green Arrow is superstitious. Who knew?
