For what I do, having the “Jake & Leon” style characters not look directly at the camera works fine. Plus as I’ve said before I don’t know how Jake’s hair would look from that angle. If the characters address the audience they don’t have to turn their heads to look in “our” direction. The skits are another matter because I draw them typically in a different style. I wondered what one of the characters would look like “head on”, and Max volunteered. I bet he doesn’t do that again. As to what Max is experiencing…best not to think about it.

  • The Clutter Reports: Book fairs were a happy event at school for me as a kid, because I’ve always loved to read, whether prose, prose with images, or comics. One of those book fairs yielded me Flash Gordon: The Ice Dragon, a collection of comics by Al Williamson, and it is something every Flash Gordon or Al Williamson fans should check out.
  • Reviewers Unknown: It’s time to introduce the RU audience to ConnectiCon. Maybe some of them will go this year.

Best Scene of This Week’s Reviews

Transformers Prime: Rage of the Dinobots #4

Couldn't decide between Dinobots breaking through the wall or Ultra Magnus' line. Luckily they're on the same page.

It’s actually two Best Scenes for the price of one! Based on this week’s work schedule and my back pain we’re going light in the articles this week. I should actually do the Friday Night Fights, hopefully, but otherwise light week.
