Jake & Leon #389: Attack Of The Humbugs

Remember those brat kids who wanted to prove Santa wasn’t real, so they exposed the Mall Santas in front of other kids and ruin Christmas? Some of them didn’t outgrow that.

I’ve defended Rudolph time and time and time again and I’m starting to think I’m going to be doing it every year. “Baby It’s Cold Outside” is never understood in concept because nobody does research like I do when discussing a Christmas song. And then there’s the fallout from a photo homaging A Christmas Story by people who hate guns. Angry people seem to enjoy being angry. Well this is one short-fused person who doesn’t like being angry all the time and I’m getting tired of the Christmas bashing, in small ways like this and people who put out anti-Christmas displays and whatever else. And no, I don’t include “happy holidays” in that.

So if I do make a Christmas video it’s mostly likely coming out after Christmas. It seems like every year I have to choose between Captain Yuletide and a Christmas video review since I can’t seem to find the time or energy to do both. And this year the superhero wins out, but I know what I want to do and it can be a little late. If I get to do it at all. Sorry. This just frustrates me.

I’ll also have smaller postings this week, probably a posting on Christmas displays on YouTube, or something easy as I try to finish the comic on-time for once. I am getting to read one of my favorite Superman comics this week, but it’s not going to be reviewed as usual. You’ll see on Saturday. I also have the next set of chapters for Op-Center because nothing says the holidays like a terrorist bombing aftermath. Well, the rest of the week should be happily festive.
