See if you can guess the moment when I stopped watching the trailer. No fair peeking on the other side of the video.
If you said “the part where Dora talks to the audience like always and everyone is confused who she’s talking to”, congratulations, you have mockstalgia senses as well. Either leave it out or ignore it/have everyone take part like they did in the show. Granted I haven’t watched many episodes but I’m sure her parents are used to this by now and it’s not like non-Dora movies didn’t have their main character break the fourth wall without the other characters noticing long before this. It was part of the format for the whole darn show and the spinoff, Dora And Friends: Into The City (and I’m betting she gets whole new friends that aren’t the ones in that series).
Also, I know the thought of Danny Trejo playing Boots sounds funny, but when you do it for real it just sounds silly. Maybe one of you watched the whole thing and can convince me Nickelodeon approving this wasn’t an odd choice, but when I don’t even make the first 15 seconds without seeing more Hollywood mockstalgia you’re going to have a task in front of you. I’m not sure I want to know what they did to Swiper.
