Following the events of the TV series everyone is settling into the new reality. On a Russian space station something causes an accident, but luckily Superman shows up to save them.
Yep, they stole the bit from Superman IV. There isn’t much to this story but like a number of other digital-first comics from DC at the time you don’t get a full-length comic unless you buy the physical copy afterwards. The 2000s version of Adventures Of Superman was like that too. All we get is seeing that Chloe Sullivan is involved with that show’s version of Green Arrow and they live at the Watchtower, which is really the most disappointing version of the Watchtower in DC fiction. It’s just a tower on a house from appearances. Superman’s costume is the New 52 style, with no red trunks. We see Lex in this version in all his Michael Rosenbaum glory.
The art is admittedly very nice but I can’t really tell you a lot about the story other than this does appear to be Clark and within legal restrictions the characters resemble the actors as best they can. Beyond that, and seeing as I lost interest in the show years before, I can’t really get a feel for the comic, which is my problem with the digital-first DC comics. I have no interest in tracking down the rest of the series either.
