I continue to not understand the people at Disney. Their decisions make less and less sense. For our purposes, they took the Disney Afternoon and Muppet comics away from Boom!, who were doing a great job, presumably because now they have Marvel. Outside of a couple Marvel comics they did nothing with them. (I’m never getting that Spider-Ham crossover…and if I do it will probably be that cheap cartoon knockoff instead of the real Peter Porker.) Meanwhile they have IDW doing their kids titles, and now Dynamite Publishing is putting out the next Darkwing Duck comic according to ICv2.
The article doesn’t say if it will be based on the original show or the rebooted Ducktales incarnation, or even something original. I’m just wondering what the point of taking over Marvel was and ending deals with other comic companies only to have IDW and Dynamite doing other Marvel and Disney comics instead?
