I’m not much of a Halloween person, but tonight’s Showcase is right on Halloween. I was going to go with the only monster that matters…Godzilla, of course…but going through my backlog I have a Halloween episode of a show more people need to watch. It wins.
For those of you who missed out on this show and previous reviews, Milo Murphy’s Law focuses on Milo, a descendant of the first victim of “Murphy’s Law”: anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Except for Milo it’s a series of wacky and unfortunate events that somehow happens to work out in the end thanks to his cleverness, his friends, and his backpack full of stuff. Also caught in his orbit are two time travellers, Cavendish and Dakota, who need to protect time. Sometimes they even succeed.
In the Halloween episode, Milo turns a decommissioned big rig and trailer into a haunted house “scream-a-torium”. No engine, no breaks, what could possibly go wrong? Besides the obvious, Zack doesn’t get scared on Halloween anymore…but if Cavendish and Dakota aren’t fast enough, this Halloween will be the last Halloween ever…while they get candy. Happy Halloween…or is it?
