I not well-versed enough in every superhero TV show to get a comic adaptation, but I’ve never heard of one based on Underdog, while fellow Superman parody Mighty Mouse has had quite a few. Now the canine powerhouse is finally getting one. Vince Brulso of Previews World talks to the men bringing not plane, not bird, nor even frog to the printed page. I hope this is good because I enjoy this show when I get to see it.

I’d call it a pro-tip but I’m still an amateur. So….amateur tip I guess.
There’s no Friday Night Fight this week as Spacebooger prepares for the Prize Fight, so that’s where we’ll debut the next Chapter By Chapter, since thanks to that surprise movie in my schedule things are a bit goofed up. It also meant changing my Clutter Report project for this week to going over more clothes to see what fits. The Today’s Comic reviews also return as we have the next issue of He-Man/Thundercats and courtesy of my friend Sean issues of the new IDW MASK comic. Will they be any good? Will they be good but not hit my nostalgia button? Next week we’ll begin finding out. Meanwhile, we’re up to…THAT issue of Thundercats: The Return. This will hit my nostalgia button in a bad way.
I’m also hoping to finally have that video review for you guys because even though it’s all recorded if I don’t do it this week it might as well wait for NEXT Christmas. So hope you enjoy that.
Guess what I finally got to see.
While I still have yet to see The Force Awakens (hey, I got it right!), this movie took place just before the original Star Wars so it doesn’t matter. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story doesn’t quite feel like a Star Wars film until the last act. I’ll get more into that in the review. But because Gareth Edwards did a story set in the Star Wars Universe, and one of the complaints about the prequels was that some of that was missing (I’m not sure I agree, although the prequels do have plenty of other flaws) I’ll be judging this movie on its own and how it connects to the six movies I have seen as well as the two TV series, The Clone Wars and Rebels (although I’m really behind on both…missing the last season or two of TCW and only seeing the first few episodes of the latter) to see if it is a good fit in the franchise.
Edwards, you may recall, thought we wanted a Godzilla movie where you didn’t get to see the monsters fight. He’s more interested in characters in extreme situations than actually showing us those situations. Did he do a better job this time? Note that there will be some spoilers here, and Wookiepedia is my best friend to check spellings and a few facts. I’m not a big enough nerd to do this without it.
Atomic Robo FCBD 2009
This oddly isn’t up on comiXology, so I went to the Atomic Robo website and looked it up in the archives. Now I just need to remember which ones I already own because I’m going to review them as I get to them.

This week’s entry in the last round of the Friday Night Fights: Power Punch before the Prize Fight is Mr. T. That has to get me some vote, if not the victory this time.

“Power Punch” round 12

I’d ask how a plumber becomes a doctor without training, but in this version of the Mushroom Kingdom there’s probably a mail-away for that.
Nintendo Comics System #9
Valiant (October, 1991)
Dr. Mario: “The Doctor Is In…Over His Head”
Laura Hitchcock, George Wildman, Jade, The King and his Court
Punch-Out: “Outsiders”

I wish Valiant gave the Nintendo comics creators a proper credits list.
