Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man V2 #20
Marvel Comics (January, 2012)
WRITER: Paul Tobin COLORS: Sotocolor LETTERER: Dave Sharpe EDITOR: Tom Brennan SENIOR EDITOR: Stephen Wacker STORY 1 PENCILER: Matteo Lolli INKER: Terry Pallott STORY 2 PENCILER: Rob Di Salvo INKER: Victor Olazaba
In the first story, the Sandman gets bold about his plans to rob a bank, as Spidey & Chat try to figure out how to deal with him this time. In the second story, The Blonde Phantom calls Spidey in when the Red Ghost and his super-apes start scamming people.
What they got right: Chat returns! I like how we actually see Peter and Chat trying to work out how to deal with Sandman, coming up with different plans. We also have a side-bit about spoilers that adds not just fun but a bit of life to the characters While I still want full-length stories back I don’t think this story would have worked full-length.
What they got wrong: Running a fortune-telling scam for money? That seems rather beneath the Red Ghost.
Recommendation: A fun comic that’s worth picking up, but I really want this to get back to the comic it was when I started picking it up.

At least the CSI team can take the day off.
