Amazing Spider-Man #384

For those of you who don’t know, Stan Lee Media was a licensing group founded by Stan Lee but taken over by investors who now claim to own everything Stan Lee ever made or will make. They seem more interested in suing for control of things Lee never had the rights too but had a hand in. Basically, they kicked Lee out and now claim to own him.

Robot 6 learned of their latest tomfoolery as they pretty much tricked a music theater into thinking they could license Spider-Man from them, but all likenesses of Spidey is owned by Marvel, now owned by Disney. (None of this explains the other uses of Disney properties that are part of Disney’s suit against the theater.) It’s a sad case, but SLM, who is no longer tied to Stan Lee himself no matter how often they practically claim to own him and everything he does, is a pretty sad group.
