Now in control of Red Ronin, Doom tries to take the Hulk and Doctor Octopus out of the picture. The Mega Morphs arrive but even with Tony’s knowledge of the robot (having helped create it to stop Godzilla) they are unable to best the powerful machine until a freed Hulk is able to take it down using his Mega Morph. It’s not over yet, however. As our heroes rest after their battle smaller robots make their way to the facility. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom gets a visit from Doc Octopus in his Mega Morph, and the Ock ain’t happy.

What they got right: The battle between Red Ronin and robot heroes is actually quite good, as they work together to stop him. Spidey gets a neat meta joke in about feeling this caper is only “three-fourth” done and a reference to the time he, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, and the Hulk were the Fantastic Four for a brief time. We also get robot Spidey riding Ghost Rider’s vehicle mode, which of course is a giant motorcycle.

What they got wrong: Maybe it’s just me but quite often I can’t tell just how big Red Ronin is compared to the Mega Morphs, and he really shouldn’t be any larger than the robot-mode Mega Morphs.

Recommendation: This is still a fun little story. We’ll see if that holds true in the final issue next week.
