One of the comics I miss getting to read is Scooby-Doo Team-Up, where Scooby and the gang join forces with DC heroes and other Hanna-Barbera stars. One of the best team-ups are with Batman. During The New Scooby-Doo Movies Batman and Robin appeared twice, going after the Joker and Penguin. Now there’s a new team-up coming, but instead of Batman showing up on Scooby-Doo (despite what the title is), Scooby’s showing up on Batman. Batman: The Brave & The Bold to be exact.

This isn’t the first team-up with this version of Batman…sort of. Aside from the two aforementioned episodes of The New Scooby-Doo Movies the gang showed up in one of the short intro adventures of Batman: The Brave & The Bold, but it was actually a segment where Bat-Mite was discussing earlier versions of Batman. It lead to one of the best Shaggy & Scooby moments not from their show.

At least this time they’re actually teaming with the heroes. Unlike Mask Of The Blue Falcon, which I can’t given a complete complaint about until I see it, but dropping the team-up angle I was hoping for did not make me happy. I was worried about that and I kind of wish it was the HB version as seen in Scooby Movies and Super Friends but Batman: The Brave & The Bold was a fun series so it’s nice to see that version of Batman and the DC heroes together again.

The Mask of the Blue Falcon DVD can be found at the library in the big city right next door to your town. Reading this article and seeing these video clips made me remember how I had a Dynomutt and Blue Falcon lunch box when I was a kid. I was using that lunchbox during a good portion of my elementary school years (in fact, it was the only lunch box I ever had).
