As much as we all wanted Peter Parker to be Peter Parker, Ben Reilly was a good character…although I hear that’s changed in the recent “they’re totally not clones in the same way the Black Lanterns weren’t zombies” story arc. It’s too bad because this Spider-Man Team-Up issue I have shows Ben at his best as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. In this story he and Gambit join forces against a Tombstone and a drug dealer using voodoo powder to create the next addictive drug. Two mistakes: they messed with Gambit’s friend, and one of them Spidey has a grudge against.

As of this writing I still don’t have Netflix, but of any of the internet section of the MCU interested me it was Iron Fist. After this review by Comics Alliance contributor Kevin Fitzpatrick I’m not so interested anymore. It seems we have the turkey of the Defenders and this is it. That’s so disappointing.

With last week’s Mini-Con article over at The Clutter Reports, I thought for this month’s Free Comic Inside I’d take a look at what the Mini-Cons are up to. Plus I said in the last one I would be going back to this series. Hey, I remembered! This is when Dreamwave was still making minicomics for Hasbro, which would continue into the Energon toys before Dreamwave crashed. There is one good thing this round: no more trying to fit three translations of the same sentence into the word balloons.
No, this time it’s all one language, and luckily for me I got the English one. Let’s see what happens this time.

Actually, should they have revealed Unicron on the cover?
Transformers: The Movie #3
FINAL ISSUE
Marvel Comics (February, 1987)
“The Final Battle!” ADAPTATION: Ralph Macchio PENCILER: Don Perlin INKERS: Ian Akin & Brian Garvey COLORIST: Nel Yomtov LETTERER: Janice Chaing EDITOR: Bob BudianskyThere was a movie based on the board game Clue (which worked out better than Battleship did) and I have a game for my CD-I. Clue is not an easy game to turn into a narrative because in both board and video game forms who the killer is changes each time you play. It’s what makes the game fun to play more than once. However IDW is going to give it a go by making a Clue comic story. The movie needed three endings depending on the theater or time you saw it to match the feel of playing as best they could. What will the comic try I wonder?
Also, since this is a Hasbro property, will they attempt to shoehorn it into their shared continuity? “It was Miles Mayhem in the Microverse with an Energon crystal? “No, he clearly used a MASS device.”

“Boom” round 2
