Will Eisner, who established the term sequential art and is considered to have popularized the graphic novel. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
You may have heard of the Eisner Award, an award given to comic book and comic strip creators. (I don’t know if they’re starting to include webcomics.) You may have heard of the man it’s named after, Will Eisner. Eisner is a legend in the comics world despite no longer being among us. But unless you’re a die-hard comic fan you may not really know a lot about him. Comics Alliance has posted a video with a short history of the man, and since BW doesn’t just cater to the die-hards, I thought someone out there who might not otherwise think to look for this information should still see it.

BW’s Morning Article Link: Blockbusters Aren’t Just For Summer Anymore
Blockbusters (US game show because I didn’t know what movie to go with…so many) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
When we think of blockbuster movies, we usually equate them with Summer; the “Summer Blockbuster” is a season of larger than life, high action or high drama pictures. Recently however, the studios have been hunting for prime real estate in the Winter and Spring seasons, hoping to create an opening that their blockbuster might get more attention. ScreenCrush‘s Matt Singer examines this new “Spring Blockbuster” situation.
