BW’s Art Soundoff #6: The Creation Myth

Before I post my video today you need to hear what inspired it, a posting by one of the other Art Soundoff contributors.

And now me:

I forgot to mention in the video that I won’t be doing Art Soundoff on the weekends so I can focus on other projects. I’ll return to this on Monday.

The Screenwriting Mind Tricks Of Star Wars

Star Wars Blu-Ray originals

Frame By Frame is one of the series produced for Film Theory that isn’t a creation of MatPat. The series looks at movies from a more technical storytelling perspective. Since the Crohn’s isn’t leaving me alone too soon, I’m going with another video that is interesting enough to not be listed as “filler”, as the host takes a look at storytelling beats, those moments when things change, in the Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi franchise. Note that the “S” Bomb gets dropped, yet the “F” Bomb is censored. When did this become a thing?

Game Theory Takes On Master Chief’s Armor

Thanks to some Crohn’s issues (I really need that new medicine or something, but next month is the earliest he can see me, and that’s already less than the usual twice a year visit) I didn’t get to write the commentary I had planned (I mentioned it in yesterday’s Art Soundoff). However, this video is too interesting for me to right off as a “Filler Video” piece. MatPat of Game Theory was curious why Spartans die so easily in Halo multiplayer from melee attacks and sought out an actual expert in body armor to figure it out. It’s an interesting merger of real world physics and game world logic. Enjoy.
