BW Daily Tweets About New Transformers Projects

Yes, I know this news has been out a while but I’VE been out a while.

Personally I’m hoping that Nickelodeon treats their Transformer show more like Discovery Family did and less like how Cartoon Network treated their Transformer shows. As for the movie, more like Bumblebee and less like what Michael Bay put out and they may have a better chance at making something good. Once we know more about them I’ll do a longer commentary.

BW Progress Report: Darn Cold! + Patreon Ideas

Haven’t I had enough sick leave these past few years? Next time I take time off I want it to be for a vacation or convention.

Anyway I’m not at 100% as I keep sleeping more than I stand (my eyes are trying to close as I write this and my attention span is not the best) and there’s still too much junk left in my head and nose. I’m hoping to be back by Thursday at the latest, thus pretty much continuing where I left off but if I’m up to coming back sooner I will. I do have the next Chapter By Chapter to announce and Thursday may actually be a fitting day to do it. I’ll explain on the reveal. Meanwhile this week’s Clutter Report is something I managed to do as I made the final book report for Star Trek: Prime Directive.

So I’ve been thinking about what I can do to give Patreon a second try even though I probably don’t have enough potential supporters. With my medical issues calmed for the moment I need to look into making income somehow because I’ve been without it for way too long and the stimulus money is almost gone. If I thought I could come up with decent merch with or without the BW branding (and doing so with The Clutter Reports may be missing the point) I’m weighing options. I would like to get your thoughts on the current arrangement versus what I’m thinking. (The page has been so unused that they un-launched it so I probably have to start over again anyway.) Adding to the problem are the state governments trying to get a cut by making patrons pay their local sales tax to support Patreon creators, which is just more of the government being more interested in taking in money than trimming their bloated budgets but that’s a different conversation. Anyway, here’s what I have now versus what I may try next:

Saturday Night Showcase> Ultraman Ginga

Time to go back to the Ultra well because that’s all I have left in the Showcase backlog right now, with only one more left after that. I either need to stumble upon something good soon or finally get caught up with the rest of my YouTube backlog.

Created for the 50th anniversary of the series, Ultraman Ginga is the 23rd entry in the series. Continuing to expand the Ultra-Multiverse, Ginga takes place in a dimension where if the Land Of Light in Nebula M23 has any residents they haven’t visited Earth before. Into this universe a number of Ultramen and kaiju have been sucked in, turned into action figure like “spark dolls” (gotta sell them toys), and are essentially powerless. However, a chosen one will come–because they always do–who can restore the spark dolls to their true form and use them to fight the evil responsible for their situation. He also has the power to become Ultraman Ginga. And since this is through Shout Factory’s TokuSHOUTsu you won’t need the captions for subtitles. They’re right in the episode. Enjoy.

BW Filler Video: Why Krillin Is Far More Powerful Than Dragon Ball Fans Think

Guess whose fighting a cold. I’ve decided to take a few days off to recenter myself, maybe come back on Saturday for Saturday Night Showcase. However, since I started this day I wanted to post something here and I thought this would work.

DBZ

When it comes to the Z Fighters of Dragon Ball poor Krillin gets the shaft, especially in Dragon Ball Z Abridged from Team Four Star. It’s easy to forget when everyone has superpowers and for anyone who either didn’t come in on the original Dragon Ball or like me went back to watch it that Goku’s former rival turned best friend is only weaker than all the superpowered space aliens Akira Toriyama has brought out. After all, no matter how many characters they break out or the times they’ve tried to pass the torch the Dragon Ball franchise is Goku’s story, even when he’s dead…and Goku’s shooting for Optimus Prime stats without a multiverse.

However, like so many characters who get short changed so much that even the fans look down on them Krillin is not only the strongest full human on planet Earth but may actually stand a chance to some of these alien threats, even ones who once bested him. At least that’s what Laughingstock Media contends in the following video. I bet Krillin doesn’t get a cold shutting him down halfway through the week.

More Cult-Made Anime Reviewed

Some time ago I brought you a video from Geoff Thew over at Mother’s Basement about a series of anime created by a Japanese cult, and how crazy, historically inaccurate, and downright silly (and possibly blasphemous) it was. Well that was part one. Last night I had trouble sleeping so rather than ramble about a topic my brain can only partly process it’s time to bring you part two. I hope he gets part three out so I can show you that in the future.

Again, I’m not mentioning the cult by name since he does it in the video and text is easier to search for, but the last one had weird views on history, a leader whose wife was as amazingly awesome as he was until they divorced and she became “the evil”, time travel, noted scientists as deities, and this one is going to be more of the same. So rather than do that rambling I’m trying to avoid let me give you the usual swear warning on top of the insanity warning and let the professional #$%#bag take over. Note this starts with Helen Keller joining the ranks of deity, so I guess I had one more warning for those who find that offensive. Because it is…and it’s not the most offensive thing you’ll see.
